The Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) of the Suhanko mine's discharge pipe has been completed. The ELY Centre's reasoned conclusion on the EIA report was published on 15.12.2022.

In its summary, the ELY Centre states: 'In the view of the Authority, the results of the assessment procedure indicate that the environmental impact of the project is so low that there would be no obstacle to its implementation. Read more.

The environmental impact and its management is well illustrated by the permits and the permit situation below. The next major step will be the decision on the environmental and water management permit, which is expected to be resolved in summer 2024.
