We have plenty of good fishing waters and game lands. When you move to Ranua, you get a permanent right to fish for rays. In addition to the private wilderness areas of the hunting clubs, Ranua has extensive state wilderness areas where you can get permits without owning land.

Ranua is renowned for its magnificent aurora borealis, and the fells are not in the way of the sky's fire here. Among snowmobilers, Ranua's well-maintained toboggan runs have received much praise.
