In Ranua, the focus is on children and young people. The Kirkonkylä school got new premises in August 2022 and a new secondary school is currently being built next to it, to be completed in autumn 2024. The school campus overlooks Lake Ranuanjärvi.

There is a small village school in the village of Kuha, 12 km from the church village.

Nature is always close by and is reflected in our daily educational work, from kindergarten to high school. Ranua Upper Secondary School has a profile in nature entrepreneurship.

In addition to upper secondary school, vocational education is also available in the locality. The studies of a local nurse will start in Ranua in 2024.
